Albert’s Bridge Books is Amy Shomshak and John Gaspard—a wife-and-husband team driven by a shared love of storytelling, creativity, and collaboration. Together, they craft unforgettable stories that inspire, entertain, and delight readers of all ages.

Amy is the creator of the Ballet Series, a heartwarming collection of novels that explore the transformative power of art and resilience through the eyes of Gina, a young dancer. Set against vivid backdrops such as 1989 Minneapolis, 1990s Russia, and Paris, these coming-of-age tales capture the magic of ballet and the strength of the human spirit.

John’s work spans mysteries and filmmaking, blending his passion for sleight-of-hand and storytelling. His Eli Marks Mysteries follow a sharp-witted magician turned amateur sleuth, while his acclaimed guides for filmmakers (Fast, Cheap, and Under Control) and writers (The Popcorn Principles) empower creatives with practical advice and inspiration.

For a dose of playful literary fun, don’t miss their Greyhound Classics series—beloved stories like The Great Gatsby and The Hound of the Baskervilles, reimagined from the unique perspective of a clever greyhound.

At Albert’s Bridge Books, Amy and John combine creativity and passion to craft heartfelt stories and guide others on their own journeys of self-expression. Whether you’re seeking a cozy mystery, a moving drama, or a fresh twist on a literary favorite, they’ve got the perfect read for you!
